Small Estate Check.

About

Built for the person doing this between the funeral and the paperwork

Nobody plans to learn probate law. You learn it in the worst month, from a bank counter, a court clerk, and a search box — and the search box mostly returns charts that are wrong on the biggest states and a $59 packet whose own numbers rot in public.

SmallEstateCheck starts at the family's actual question — can this estate skip probate court? — and answers it the way the statute answers it: net out what passes automatically, apply the limit in force on the date of death, treat the house as its own question, and name the door with its reason and its form. The checker is free and complete because the verdict is the trust. The kit exists because a verdict is not a settlement: families still face the bank that says no, the inventory that must be counted right, the creditors who must be paid in order — and they deserve all of that in one place, for one payment.

SmallEstateCheck is published by CLEARDEAL LLC. It is the after-death pair to IfICantSpeak, which organizes a living person's affairs before anyone needs this site; the two link to each other deliberately, on both sides of the day.
